It’s about time I did another drawing of Filby. This one is pretty sketchy. But that’s OK. You don’t have to be Rembrandt to have fun drawing. Have a go. Look closely at your subject (trust your eyes), start with some shapes - and keep going. (And if you try a dog lying on a pile of beds, you don’t have to draw all four legs!)

It’s World Book Day! And these are the books by my bedside - Mayowa and the Sea of Words by Chibundu Onuzo (THE utterly perfect World Book Day book). About to start - Mouse Heart by Fleur Hitchcock (I’ve been wanting to read this book for AGES). And always looking at – Lion vs Rabbit by Alex Latimer (because it’s joyous EVERY single time). I’m reading an adult book as well, but who cares. Children’s books are better.

Here’s another rough from the next Horrible Histories book. Due out on 24th April! You might be able to work out what it’s about – I couldn’t possibly say. All I can tell is that, in 1686, they passed a law saying that anyone buried there had to be wrapped in locally woven linen. It was quite an employer.
